Farmers from across Kericho County are set to benefit from Imarisha Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited. This comes after the County's Imarisha SACCO team visited a section of farmers from Kabianga, Belgut Sub-County.
While speaking to milk farmers at Kabianga Cooperative Society grounds, Imarisha SACCO director Jessica Siele educated farmers on the improvement of milk production. Over the past few years, milk production across the vast green leaf production county has continued to drop substantially compared to milk production in the neighbouring Bomet County.
Subsequently, Mrs Jessica confirmed to farmers of available Farmer's loans to cater for their dairy farming. Farmers were also assured of farm inputs from Kilimo Products Firm, that including Marketing services as well as civic education to farmers on the market structure. This gives farmers vast options in the agricultural sector.
A few days ago, the Kenya Farmers Board(KFB) announced an increment in milk per litre upto a favourable 33 shillings.
