Uganda has been known for a long time as an economic frontier for investors. Although the country is marred with police brutality, Uganda seems to be restructuring and redeveloping to reposition itself as a developed nation. His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni seems to have understood the importance of welcoming international investors. The president has been working tirelessly to bring in international investors to invest in Uganda. These decision has been changing the face of Uganda in the recent days.
Just a month ago, Museveni invited Akon, an America Senegalese singer in Uganda and stroke a deal that was to see Akon set up a futuristic city in the country. The Ugandan president has yesterday hosted again the African American investment team mobilized by singer Aliaune Badara Akon and his wife Rozina Negusei at State House Entebbe. This was to discuss investment opportunities in Uganda. Based on a tweet from Yoweri Museveni's official twitter account, the team will see investment opportunities being utilized by the international investors.
Through such investments, Ugandans face is rapidly changing. Road networks, massive investments is being witnessed. If Uganda continues in this direction, then Uganda might surpass Kenya and Tanzania in the next 15 years.
