The president of the republic of Kenya William Samoei Ruto, his deputy Rigathi Gachagwa and prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi among other top government leaders graced the launching of the hustler fund on Wednesday.
The event which took place in Greenpark Nairobi was attended by businessmen running various small and medium sized enterprises.
Among those who attended is Susan who is a fish vender within Nairobi.
While addressing the gathering, the lady could not hide her joy after meeting the president and his deputy Rigathi Gachagwa face to face.
She said that she has been longing to meet the president physically because they share a lot in common.
"Mimi nina furaha sana ata kuongea imenishinda. Nilikuwa natamani nione President Ruto na macho, kweli Mungu ni mwema” – Susan,fish vendor
She explained how she Started her small business with only KSH 150 whereby she bought only three fish and sold two at KSH 100 each while the remaining she took home.
When she related her story to that of the head of state who used to sell chicken, Ruto burst into laughter as Shown in the photos below.
Before she finished giving her speech, Susan had to take a break to turn her fish that was frying in a pan.
