Corruption is one of the vices which has affected Kenya so much.It is cutting across each sector in the country.Recently it was discovered that corruption has hit the Kenya Tea Development Agencygreatly.Farmers are being conned by the cartel.Last year the amount they were paid for the bonus was very wanting and this raised many questions among the shareholders and even the government itself.

Some of the leaders were benefitting while the farmer was sufferring.Farmers were angry and they decided to uproot the tea bushes and plant something else.The government had to take a step to save the economy since tea is the major source of income.When it realized that tea farming was on its death bed because the farmer is not benefitting from his/her own sweat,they had to come up with measures quickly to stop them from uprooting.The Kenya Tea Development Agency was disbanded and the National and county government took control and formed new committee where they elected leaders transparently who would account for every cent of the farmer.This is among the steps taken.The farmers have high hopes that this year they will get what they deserve.
