Honorable The President has come under fire from Robert Alai, a recently elected member of the County Assembly, who claims that their attempt to drive Chinese consumers away is not a wise strategy.
Alai thinks that's not the best way to run the country's businesses. He requested that the current administration consider the consequences of monopoly formation.
China Square Limited made a temporary shutdown announcement on February 26 in order to give the owners some time to reevaluate their corporate direction.
The retail center added that by closing, they will have time to come up with a fresh plan for delivering superior customer service.
To "re-evaluate and replan our corporate strategy, in order to better serve our clients," China Square said in a statement.
It also contained specifics on how they planned to collaborate with local vendors to put their new strategy into practice. The one-stop shopping mall defended the action, saying it was necessary for blending into the community.

The mall on UniCity was built by Kenyatta University and generated attention across a variety of social media platforms. Kenyans lauded the mall, saying it provided a wide range of goods at affordable prices.
