Speaking of Agribusiness, Gordon Chui, Chuka University graduate has revealed that his dairy cows business has changed his life. Speaking during an interview with Tuko.co.ke, Chui claimed that he had only 10 dairy cows which produces approximately 155-175 litres daily.
"At peak, I did 257 litres with 10 cows. Currently I am doing 155-175 litres a day since three cows are dry," Chui said according to the source.
Chui went ahead and explained that he usually sells his milk twice a day. In the morning, he sells 120 to 140 litres while in the evening he sells between 40 to 65 litres.
"I sell 120 to 140 litres of milk in the morning to Brookside at KSh 54 per litre. In the evening, I sell between 40 to 65 litres to Mt Kenya or Meru Central, at KSh 50," he revealed.
This means that in the morning, Chui makes between KSh 6,480 and KSh 7,560. In the evening, he rakes in between KSh 2,000 and KSh 3,250. This means that Chui makes over KSh 8,000 daily.
