William Ruto in trouble again

Equity bank now says they do not have a customer named Harun Aydin, denying to have loaned him 15 billion. previously, Deputy president William Ruto claimed he called the bank to help Aydin to get a loan to invest in Uganda, a transaction he said was successful.

Appearing before National assembly Finance Committee on Wednesday, August 25th, Equity bank's managing director Gerald Warui said they do not have any banking relationship with the turk. The manager also told MPs that he was not aware of the phone call purportedly made by the second in command to the bank to facilitate the loan.

The statements contradicts with the deputy president William Ruto earlier claims that he helped Aydin get the loan from the financial institution which was meant for the setting up of a vaccine manufacturing plant in Uganda. All this places William Ruto on a hot spot as a national leader.
