Heavy Rains to be Experienced in the Following Counties in the Next 5 Days

The Kenya Meteorological Department is mandated to provide weather forecasting updates to Kenyans. The company provides reliable meteorological information which is very important as a statistical tool in monitoring various sectors of the economy that depend on climatic conditions to thrive. The agricultural sector is highly dependent on meteorological information so as to plan on the type of crops to be planted during a given season. The Kenya Meteorological Department has released the weather forecasting updates for the next 5 days. According to the forecast, rainfall is expected over a few areas in the Lake Victoria Basin, The Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Central and South Rift Valley and the Highlands West of the Rift Valley and Northeast. The validity of the forecast is from today 18th to 22nd March 2021.

The following counties should be set to receive rainfall in the next 5 days.

Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Laikipia, Muranga, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, Nairobi, Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Busia Counties.
