Equity Bank has today finally announced the amount of money it will be charging for all transactions made to the bank from M-PESA.
Addressing its customers through a media presser showcased today the 31st of December 2022, Equity Bank has announced that all mobile banking transactions made via M-PESA will welcome a charge ranging between Ksh 10 and Ksh 67.
Equity Bank has announced that the charges will be solemnly exclusive of the taxes imposed on mobile banking by the Kenyan Government.
Equity Bank bank has further announced that the charges it will impose on the M-PESA transactions will be solemnly dependent on the amount of money being transferred to the bank.
"Mobile banking transaction charges shall range between KSh 10 to KSh 67, exclusive of government taxes. The transaction fee will be dependent on the amount being transferred. We shall share more details on this in due time," Equity Bank stated.
Equity Bank has announced that the newly institutionalized charges on all M-PESA transactions will take effect tomorrow the 1st day of January, 2022.
