Kenya power is one of the companies that has been perceived to have monopolised his services to the public. According to government report, electricity consumers can now be free from the burden of paying more as they consume the power.
It was reported that the government appointed more body to help in implementing consumer traffic reduction from an average of Ksh.24 per kilowatt her to Ksh.16. It was again reported that the team will also streamline some activities in Kenya power.
It was also reported that the president recommended implementation of the already set recommendations in the report presented before the president. In the report, it was also noted that the government declared the power company a special government project.
In the report presented, it was on record that the taskforce must present their report to the president within a span of 6 months. It was on record that the first report was to be given before 5th of December 2021. The government was reported to have given the body a mandate to monitor the implementation of the recommendations of the project.
