Kenya is an innovative country. The kind of population Kenya has is brilliant and one that can transform Kenya in to a technology hub. However, lack of finances and institutional support always brings them back. Kenyan innovators have in recent past been on a limelight for coming up with great innovation that rocked the African continent. If only the government of Kenya can tap such potentials then Kenya will embrace technology out passing even developed nations.
A simple oil processing factory Engineer Njuguna from Lesos Transzoia county has been processing cooking oil and meeting international standards. He is capable of producing 300 liters a day but at times let down by shortage of raw materials. Mr Njuguna is an example of kenyan rich brilliant minds. If we do canola, sunflower, soya and start our own small scale industries, we will no longer import fats and oils as geared by Mr Njuguna.
Kenyan have been wowed by Mr. Njugunas ideas and have showered him with much praises. Congratulating him, Kenyan believe that he can increase the production of oil if he gets support. In fact some have even requested for a partnership as some asking for supply's. Here are some reactions.
