Matiangi Promise a Reduce in Fuel Prices, Kenyans Told What They'll Have to Deal With Now

The increase in pump and power prices pushed kenyans economically to the wall.

In particular, the sudden increase in pump prices placed the finance committee of the Parliament under sharp criticism. Politicians lamented over the development, denouncing such a move as in appropriate and avoidable.

However, after weeks of feeling the stab of the bloated fuel prices, Kenyans now have something to smile about after Interior CS Fred Matiang'i promised that the cost of fuel and power are yet to come down.

The Interior CS confirmed that fuel prices are being looked at with the Government moving in spead to address challenges that make cost of power trickle down to consumers.

The CS further mentioned that they've crafted an aggressive framework aimed at reviewing Kenya Power billing system. The process will see ongoing negations with power producers stalled. It's in this length that Kenyans are informed that power outages may continue to cripple some areas before the government arrives at the optimum conclusion with power providers.

Matiang'i conveyed that Kenyans will enjoy reduced prices in the next fuel price review. This development would help save EPRA from heavy Censure that it received last month upon the rise of fuel prices.
