The above busy and crowded open air market is called Kiboswa market. It is strategically located along Kisumu-Kakamega highway at Daraja mbili junction between Kisumu and Vihiga counties. It has attracted various ethnic groups which includes but not limited to luhya, luo, nandi and kikuyu traders who make it a beehive of activities on the main market days. The two major market days are wednesday and thursday of every week. Indeed its one of its kind in the two regions.
It offers fresh groceries with fish and Omena being among the top goods preferred and bought by the surrounding communities. It also contains affordable second hand clothes (mitumbas), cerials, electronic equipments and washing detergents among others. It has boosted the economic status of the country by both offering employment opportunities and avenue for business people to showcase their products to potential buyers. It is also open to foreigners. Share and follow me for such content. Below are epic pictures showcasing it.
