"Mpishi, Chakula, Sahani, No Excuse For 3 Meals..." Kenyans React Over Edible Plates

With hard economic times in the country now, new solutions for our daily challenges are being invented day in day out. Sheryl Mboya who is a Mt. Kenya University studying Bachelor of Laws has come up with cups and plates which are edible.

Her invention was to offer a sustainable solution to single use of plastics. With ban of plastics in the country since the year 2017, Sheryl Mboya hinted that her invention address the problem of plastic pollution and loss of biodiversity which might in turn result to climate change."Every single minute, we experience the dire effects of climate change, falling rains, reduced agriculture yields, and our oceans are warming up," said Mboya.

However, Kenyans on social media have expressed different feelings on how Sheryl's invention have helped them cope with three meals a day. This comes after the cost of living rising up on daily basis making it difficult for most of them to afford a three day meal.
