Electricity Bill To Rise Higher Adding More Woes To Kenyans

Greater overall gas costs and electricity bills are expected to add up to the Kenyans who are still struggling from an exorbitant high cost of living recently.

While the cost of fuel will rise to Kenya Shillings 3.30 Per unit power consumed this month, while foreign exchange fluctuation adjustment taarif is expected to rise to Kenya shillings 1.20 per unit from from 77.0 cents. And the added tax charge on supply of LPG gas of kenya shillings 20 per cent exercise duty on voice calls and data purchases.

Kenyans also have an alarm raised due inflation of global oil prices to stagnate at high prices. Subsequently with july inflation set to increase higher at the rate of 6.3 per cent.

With government facing backlash of high taxes facing Kenyans. Which triggers attention of the residents, where Dindi Okumu filed a case at milimani high court opposing the new LPG tax. Which was reported by the Star news as shown;
