Ugandan ICT Department Makes a Huge Mistake Making People to Receive Covid-19 Relief Funds Twice

The nation of Uganda is among the country trying to cope with the deadly effects of the Covid-19 virus that has taken many nations down. As part of addressing this issue, well-wishers and other government agencies gave out some funds to help those severely affected.

It appears that the Ugandan ICT department made a huge mistake in distributing the funds after more than 6000 people got paid twice. NTV Uganda Tweeted, "About 6,000 people received double payment from the COVID-19 relief funds for the vulnerable, according to Chris Baryomunsi the Minister of ICT. He adds that this was due to human error".

Many Ugandans who still can't understand how this happened under the watch of the department have flocked the comments section to share their thoughts.

@Patrick sembatya asked, "And they didn’t have any mechanism to avoid double standards but they are saying that they had thoroughly planned how the funds would reach the right individuals".

@Benjamin Oriokot said, "Haha we are not shocked, we expected something to happen to that money. Why didn’t we have Nabanja come to tell us this news?".

@Edwin Mugasha said, "Display the list of the beneficiaries. why don't u emphasize privacy while publishing names of students who have performed in the news. Something is wrong".

Do you think the error was intentional?
