Who Is the Man Behind The Success of the Multi-Billion Lloyd Masika Real Estate?

Sanlam Towers, A Property by Lloyd Masika Limited

I bet you’ve seen the name Lloyd Masika and wondered, what does it mean? Or whose name is it?

Lloyd Masika is a real-estate valuation company that was established in 1979 through a joint partnership between John Lloyd and David Masika.

The unique naming of the company came as a result of the partners using their second names to name the company, hence Lloyd Masika.

As of now, John Llyod is already retired but acts as a consultant to Lloyd Masika while David Masika on the other hand is the chairman of the company.

Masika began his career in 1974 as a valuer at Tysons Habenga where later in 1978 he became the director.

However, in 1979, he left the company together with John Loyd who was also a managing director to form Lloyd Masika Limited.

In his career, David Masika has held other prestigious positions such as Chairman of Kenya Meat Commission, Kenya Power Chairman, Managing Director of Tana and Athi Rivers Development, and the Managing Trustee of National Social Security Fund.

Currently, he is a board member of Pioneer Holdings, Nairobi Hospital, and a Chairman of Cheshire Disability Services.

In 2017, David Masika also had his fair share in politics when he established his interests for the Makueni gubernatorial seat. Unfortunately, he did not manage to get the seat.

The Lloyd Masika Company has established itself as a prestigious company able to handle high-end properties in the Kenyan market.
