N Buy director James Cheluley yesterday faced tough questions from members of the Public Investment Committee (PIC), who suspected that there could be powerful individuals behind the company since, many felt that it is almost impossible for 2 months old company to own a multimillion tender.
The director claims that his company was given a tender after 2 months old into market,the Public Investment Committee directed though questions to N Buy director Cheluley on how lucky his company was to walk with 1billion shillings within a day.
The company linked their defend against the allegations that PPEs they supplied to Kemsa were imported from China where they purchased their materials from and they followed the correct procedure of paying tax of about Ksh.687,000 to KRA.
After the PIC interview,the company was required to give more detailed evidence in regards to their tender since the Taxpayer's money was felt going into waste and being pocketed with some few unknown individuals.
