President Ruto Appointed Safaricom CEO To Be The Chair Of The Steering Committee On Drought

A National Steering Committee has been established by the president, William Ruto, to focus on the nation's drought issue.Peter Ndegwa, chief executive officer of Safaricom PLC, will serve as chair of the drought response.James Mwangi, chief executive officer of Equity Bank, and Paul Russo, president and CEO of the Kenya Commercial Bank Group, will also serve on the committee.The Committee's term of service will begin on November 20, 2022, and it will last for a full year.
