The managers were devastated and cried over the halt and stop of the business that was once thriving well. The owners, Jason Asselstine, a 45 years old Canadian and his ice Diana said the Covid 19 pandemic or rather Corona and rules on the selling of alcohol in public gatherings made it impossible to continue running the business. It is hard to run it while people drinking and making sure in the public gathering people stick to the rules and protocols put by the government in order to prevent the spread of Covid.
The Bar and Grill business set up by the family was reportedly worth ksh 15 million. The business had survived the first and second wave of Covid or rather Corona with the lockdown but was unable to run with the ongoing third wave of the pandemic in the country. The third wave and fresh guidelines or rather protocols to be observed were lethal and to contain it or rather strictly observe it had to put a halt/stop to the once thriving business in Kisumu.
