The Auditor General has stated that the Central Bank's actions are subject to court challenge. This is because the bank's leadership has not followed the law and offered proper leadership. Another issue that the auditor general has raised is the failure of the bank to advise the government on debt management.
Recently, the governor of the Central Bank of Kenya, Patrick Njuguna, responded to a letter sent by Rigathi Gachagua regarding the country's foreign exchange reserves. This is a sensitive issue that is being considered by the public.
Under the leadership of Patrick Njogu, the Central Bank of Kenya has failed to provide adequate leadership and conform to the law. It is also alleged that the bank has not advised the government on debt management. Recently, Njogu responded rudely to Rigathi Gachagua, the head of the foreign exchange reserves department of the Kenya National Treasury. Other issues that are being considered include the attempt by the governor to sabotage the administration of Deputy President William Ruto.
