The Kenya Power and Lighting Company, KpLC, is a state corporation very integral in power installations and supply in the country. The Company is charge of generation and provision of electricity in the country.
The Company is now improving on its services and trying to win back customers who had already given up on electricity consumption due to high billings and extremely high installation costs. Setting up an electricity connection is very expensive through this government owned company.
Specifically due to high electricity bills some manufacturing companies have been forced to migrate from the national grid system to try their fortunes with the solar energy.
Amid all these myriad challenges the Company is now improving on its service delivery. It is now easy to access the buying of electricity tokens and also paying bills for both post paid and prepaid meters using mobile phone. A very convenient system but still there are lots of complains from customers over purchase of tokens.
In the process of making its services better, the Company has today released another long electricity blackout for tomorrow Wednesday 1st December 2021 for several areas across the country. The schedule is here below;
Check your area and prepare adequately for a day long without electricity.
