Gusii Governance Civil Society Organisation Secretary general Rachel Otundo said Kenyans are suffering due to coronavirus and there is a need for president Kenyatta to reduce VAT to favour them.
"Business is not running as normal because people are afraid of corona even working hours was also reduced due to the curfew we request our president to mind about Kenyans and do what he did when coronavirus was announced in Kenyan early 2020,"said Otundu
She proposed income tax on workers to be also reduced to make Kenyans smile
"People are suffering we need our government to look for away of helping them and to achieve this is through president Kenyatta,"he added
Early 2020 when coronavirus was announced in Kenya president Uhuru Kenyatta proposed the removal of income tax for workers who earn a maximum of 24,000 shillings ($227) a month and the VAT was also reduced from 16pc to 14 PC
Kenyans across all parts of the country have been lamenting on the increase of the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene
