Meet The Millionaires Who Owns Broadway Company Which Is Leading Bakery Company In Kenya

Today, Broadways is managed by Bimal and his two cousins Hiten Shah and Bejul Shah. Broadways has however not been relying solely on the bread business.

Broadways, invested in its first fully automated bread plant, a Baker Perkins plant in 1979 with a production capacity of 70,000 loaves per day.The company bought four acres of land and installed a bread factory which cost Sh15 million, money borrowed from Barclays Bank.

Broadways has now since matured, producing as many as 170,000 loaves of bread daily and posting about Sh6 billion in annual revenue. Bakery is part of the larger Broadway Group which also has a milling company known as Bakex Millers.

The company now is offering an addition to its product portfolio comprising of its famous unsliced bread, while sliced bread, brown sliced bread, sandwich bread and the newly introduced Mando bites.
