The dualing of Kenol-Sagana-Marua carriageway project is beginning to take shape after about five months of its construction. The contractor is already through with the site clearing and levelling and tamarcking in some parts of the phase I.
Speaking during his inspection visit to the project today, Transport Cabinet Secretary (CS) James Macharia said "The project is going on well and we are hoping that it is going to be completed even earlier before the schedule which is 2023. Phase I involves about 48 kilometres starting from Kenol to Sagana while the other phase is 36 kilometres long between Sagana and Marua." Said Macharia.

The project is set to ease traffic movements along the towns of Murang'a, Nyeri and Sagana and even in Kiambu. This will promote businesses and tourism expecially by easing the movement to Sagana near. The project will also make ease transport between towns of Garissa, Isiolo and Thika towns.
