Following yasterday eviction notice, Elwak market traders are appealing to both National and County Government to find them a possible solution rather than evicting the poorer traders during this time of Corona virus pandemic. This follows the eviction notice issue by the Adan abdi Hussein Head of Trade and Industralization Elwak sub county.
The old market traders are crying and worried that they might not accomodated to the New Market due to politics,Tribalism and Corruption, but given first priorities those relatives with Mandera Governor Ali Roba.
Forceful eviction are a gross violation of human right in particularly for the small scale traders and underprivileged people who cant able to look for their right.
Problematicaly evacuation in the name of development do not benefit those people who are in need at all so let the County Government stop threatening his people by forcibly eviction which result in severe trauma and set back even further the lives of those that are often already marginalised or vulnerable in Society.
forced eviction are generally discriminotary or lead to discrimination and will have a severe impact on the right of a women who were the small scale traders in the old market of Elwak.
