Raila's Promise Comes To Pass As Fuel Prices Decrease Significantly After Last Month's Hike

For the past few days, Kenyans on the internet have been complaining about the rising cost of fuel. Many were unhappy after the government failed to regulate Epra who have been charging Kenyans exorbitant fuel prices.

The online uproar seems to have yielded results after Epra announced that fuel prices will decrease. Petrol and Diesel drop by Sh5. Petrol is now set to retail in Nairobi at Sh129.72 while Diesel will retail at Sh110.60. Kerosene's price has decreased by Sh 7.28 and will now retail at Sh103.54.

The move comes days after ODM leader Raila Odinga publicly promised Kenyans that the price of fuel would go down within the next few days. The move will no doubt go a long way to helping Kenyans who have been struggling with difficult economic conditions. The Covid-19 Pandemic has rendered many jobless, with many companies forced to lay off workers during this period.

Meanwhile, share with us your thoughts on the matter kindly.
