According to sources online (Wakipedia), Tuskys Supermarket was established in 1990 when there was a rise in retail business. It has several branches in most towns. It was founded in 1990 by Joram Kamau.
The supermarket has created employment to over 6000 people countrywide. They also have branches in Uganda where they have managed to employ over 150 people . Their headquarter is in Nairobi, Kenya.
The supermarket is privately owned by Joram Kamau family. The Ksh 1 billion business is now owned by 10 members of Joram family, that is, John Kago (10%),Samuel Kamau (17.5),Stephen Mukuha (14.5),Yusuf Mugweru (17.5),George Gachwe (10.5%),Founder's Daughter I (10%),Founders (10%).
