Kisii is one of the fast growing towns in Kenya with a population of about 1 million people. It is blessed with one of the hardworking governors, James Ongwae. Kisii is also known for its ability to do well in the agricultural sector e.g. bananas which are loved by many Kenyans. Many business tycoons prefer to invest in such towns to grow their businesses. The rich people live in Different estates in Kisii. Nyanchwa Estate is one of the best Estates where business tycoons and politicians live. It is located about 600 meters from the Kisii Town CBD. The trendy Nyanchwa estate has many apartments and mansions.
Governor Ongwae and Fred Matiangi are among the few who own mansions and apartments in the Estate. Some other areas where the rich include: Milimani, Nyanchwa, Nyamataro, Soko Mjinga, Daraja Mbili, Mwembe, Jogoo and Nyamage. Others are Nyakoe, Maili Mbili. Maili mbili is also growing very fast.
