Good News To Bomet Residents As Their Governor Makes This Move

The only way we can support our Dairy farmers to make a kill out of their venture is by Processing and adding value to their milk which in turn fetches better prices for the product.

It is in this regard that my adminstration has partnered with World Vision to set up and equip Chebunyo Dairy Cooperative that will offer ready market for our Dairy farmers from across the county. The milk that will be processed here will make our school feeding programme in our ECDs, a reality. My administration has invested kshs 58 Million in this project that will be a game changer in the dairy sector.

Joined residents of Chebunyo area while receiving milk-processing equipment for the plant, earlier this morning. I have given firm instructions that the equipment be installed as soon as is humanly possible, for the operations to kick off immediately.

My appreciation goes to the World Vision team led by the project coordinator, Ms Tabitha Otieno for coming on board to supplement our efforts to uplift the Dairy farmers in Bomet even as we strive to brand Bomet County as a Dairy County.
