Good question, a short answer is that a good leader is necessary because he or she will make it possible to inspire and empower those being led to become more and to do more. As a result, he or she will make it possible for a relationship, a group, a company, an organization, or a country to achieve their corporate vision, dreams, or their collective aspirations. Thus, make life better for all.
Often, that is possible simply because.
1. A good leader sets the tone and gives a clear direction by effectively communicating the corporate purpose (reasons/why) and vision.
2. A good leader leads from within, leads by example, thus he or she often walks the talk. (He or she has integrity and character)
3. A good leader knows and appreciates the fact that human capital is the differentiator in the information-rich world we live in today.
4. A good leader attracts, stimulates, and retains as much talent as possible.
5. A good leader knows that if he or she is to empower people, create the right conditions, care, and support his or her partner, team, or citizens, ultimately, he or she will inspire people to achieve wonders.
In an event that a less effective leader is chosen, often the following happens:
1) A relationship, a group, a company, or a country will manifest a culture of average or mediocrity.
2)There will be noticeable low morale, low trust, low respect, low commitment, and an overall reduction in productivity.
In other words, a relationship, a group, a company, an organization, or a country that stays the same (the lives of people are not uplifted), is not improving positively, registers little or no growth, sees no progress or change in the right direction, such a relationship, a group, a company, organization or country does not have a good leader.
The consequences of that will be that an individual, employees, or citizens are likely to be dissatisfied, stressed, and there will be guaranteed failure to achieve the corporate vision, dreams, or collective aspirations.
Political quotes to enlighten you and me :
Lao Tzu once said, “A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.”
John Quincy Adams once said, "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader."
"The single biggest way to impact an organization is to focus on leadership development. There is almost no limit to the potential of an organization that recruits good people, raises them up as leaders and continually develops them." – Dr. John Maxwell
Kenyan should put aside tribalism, hatred and selfishness and choose Good leaders and not politicians. The 2022 General election is around the corner, let us not retain politicians who have proved to be incompetent in the last 5 years.
Our eyes are now heavily on Deputy President William Samoei Ruto and former prime Minister, Raila Amollo Odinga who are favorites to clinch the top seat. Who among the two is a politician and who is a true leader?
Regret comes after actions, the living standard is totally high, corruption is at the peak, heavy debts are on the people's necks and reckless murder of innocent citizens is on the course in the current regime. My question, who is going to rescue this country from this impunity? Who is going to reduce the fuel prices? Who is going to end corruption and make Kenya a free debt country? The choice is with you and don't be lied with Bible-based politics which is meant to lure some of you to vote without proper scrutiny of certain politicians.
We all know that We need change. For so doing, our role as citizens is at the center stage to determine who is the best choice for all Kenyans and not for the few or certain communities or tribes. Use the link below to find out more about true leaders and those who are meant to be politicians.
Humble reminder :Let us choose leaders and not politicians. Kenyans is fond of choosing politicians instead of working towards ensuring good governance. Don't use elections to Punish your political enemy or opponents, use it as goodwill for all Kenyans.
