Uhuru Order Which Sent Confusion And It's Impact On Agricultural Sector

In an earlier declaration last year when the country went to partial lockdown. A section was mapped from the Nairobi county and it's outskirts. The region was named Nairobi metropolitan and roadblocks were erected to limit people from accessing the region. Last week several counties were mapped out and their boundaries locked. Though no logistical details were issued their boundaries in each corner towards other counties bordering them were locked. There is no boundary on Nairobi county which was affected as it is bordered by the named counties.

The region hereby marked as zoned region is said to be outskirts to Nairobi where the corona infections are high. The furthest end of these counties have also been locked and residents are suffering. The government may not understand the intesity of these people's predicament because they are not on the ground but the truth will be told that unless logistical details are issued. Some people will loose it in the end, businesses will die a natural death, hunger will continue to hit people hard and the agricultural sector which happens to be the backbone of these people will also be affected.

In Nairobi most of the businesses rely on goods from other counties. The zoned counties cannot produce enough to satisfy their population and these is making people to suffer more. Other counties who produce, especially the horticultural crops are crying foul, as buyers are not there. There is great wastage and if the government will not do something the producers may never live to produce tommorow.

Let President Uhuru and his government, go back to the drawing board and come up with a lasting solution which would ensure the economy continue to stabilize or level. More loans and grants should be directed to the agricultural sector which act as the countrys backbone.
