Kenya Power and Lightening Company (KPLC) has revealed a number of areas that will experience a power blackout on Thursday.
Through its social media pages, the company revealed that some of the affected areas include areas adjacent to BabaDogo in Nairobi, parts of Embu county including Kathanjure market Kyeni and adjacent areas.
Parts of Nyeri county will also experience power blackouts as well as Kiambi county including Githunguri town, Hospital, Fresha dairies and Kamuchege market.
"Hello. Please be advised that tomorrow there will be planned shutdowns in the following areas below. Stay safe & Happy holidays!" read a statement from KPLC

This comes at a time when a section of KPLC customers have noted that the tokens units they usually purchased had decreased.
Recently, the company's board of directors appointed Joy Brenda Masinde as the Chairman. Ms Masinde was elected to the Board alongside six other Directors during the KPLC’s Annual General Meeting that was held on Friday, 16th December.
