On 21 Oct 20222, the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua posted on twitter that they jad dispatch lorries from Syokimau Nairobi which would transport fertilizers to farmer.
'I am happy to flag off second consignment of the subsidised fertilizer for smallhold tea growers across the country. The 62 trucks each carrying at least 100 bags, have taken off Syokimau Nairobi Freight Terminus to deliver fertilizers to the respective factories', Rigathi posted.
This post has spacked alot of reaction from the online comunity on twitter. Fishermen from the lake region together with sugarcane farmers from Migori, Transzoia, and Western Kenya have unhappily responded to this post say that also they are farmers and should be put into consideration when it comes to fertilizer subsidy.

Some have also complained about the distribution of the fertilizers at the ground. That the requirements needed to receive the fertilizers are not clearly defined.

We can now wait and hope that the government is going to address these emerging issues.
