On mashujaa day, George Ochieng' a carpenter was recognized by president William Ruto for acquiring three bedroom house, as an inspiration to casual workers who dream to own decent houses. On Ochieng's side, he disclosed that he was humbled to have caught attention of the president. While speaking to Citizen, Ochieng' narrated his two years journey which saw him acquired the multimillion house as he was a carpenter.
Ochieng' reached agreement with one of his employer's sons which would see a section of his wage deducted and channelled towards the payment of the house. 15 percent of his weekly earning was deducted for two years. By the time Ochieng' was done with the project, he had raised Sh3.2 million earning his dream house for himself and his family. However Ochieng' disclosed that it was not an easy task to make all that payment, he suffered greatly during the duration.
He also appreciated his employer for pushing him when he wanted give up to continue pursuing his dream of acquiring the house. What amazing! in the meantime thank you for reading my article.
