Today, the incoming cabinet secretary for Agriculture, hon Mithika Linturi who is also the former senator of Meru county has delivered some bad news to Kenyans concerning the Unga prices which has been a big problem to them for almost one year now.
As reported by the NTV News, hon Mithika Linturi who was talking in parliament some few hours ago announced that the Unga prices will not fall anytime soon. According to him, there is no any hope for the reduction unless the goverment reintroduces the subsidy something that president William Ruto declined from the first day in office. His statement is bad news to kenyans who have been waiting for the prices to fall.
"Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi has dismantled all hopes for cheaper maize flour in the short term. Linturi during his vetting before National Assembly Committee on Friday said there is unlikelihood flour prices will decline unless the government reintroduces the subsidy programme."
