The DP who is leading an ambitious bid to oust ODM leader Raila Odinga in the Coast region, has over the last three days pitched camp in Mombasa.
On Saturday, Dr Ruto was in Nyali and Jomvu constituencies where he urged the locals to support his bid for the country's top seat come the next general election.
The DP who was in company of several Coast MPs further asked locals to reject the Building Bridges Initiative which he says is not good for the country as it does not address the issues affecting the "hustlers".

And as Ruto was busy selling his political agenda in the pro- Raila county, his one-time ally, Shahbal skipped the meeting once again.
Shahbal has for months been seen as Ruto's right hand in Mombasa since 2017. But things appear to be changing.
Of late, Shahbal has been gravitating to the Raila and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho camp.
Shahbal lost the 2013 and 2017 Mombasa Governor race to Joho. However, going to 2022, he appears keen to get his game plan right.
He has of late been working closely with Joho, perhaps with the hope to win his backing in 2022.
Shahbal's decision to skip Ruto meetings on Friday and Saturday is a tell tale sign that the billionaire businessman has already dumped the hustler nation for Joho and Raila.
