Reactions After A Ruto Ally Disclosed The Progress Of His Nyali Fundraiser

Deputy President William Samoei Ruto is not giving up on his ambition to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta. Ruto's Agenda is about the bottom-up economic model, which aims at empowering the hustles of the small-scale traders in the country. On many occasions, Ruto usually reminds Kenyans that leadership positions come after catering to the needs of the Mwananchi.

According to a Ruto ally, identified as Dennis Itumbi, who enjoys massive social media following, the bottom-up economic model is achievable. In his official Facebook account, Itumbi revealed that Ruto did a fundraise of 1.5 million shillings to the Nyali riders Boda Boda Sacco. He stated that it is now 8 months and the Sacco owns a Matatu, it has started issuing affordable loans, and also they are planning to buy a shamba to begin a motorcycle Assembly line.

In the comment section, Kenyans, applauded Ruto for his work while others realized that the bottom-up was working. However, others termed it as a way to convince Kenyans to support Ruto.

This comes days after Ruto's Competitor, Raila Odinga promised to contain poverty and offer jobs to the youths, if elected president. Raila has promised sh.6000= to all unemployed households if he ascends to power.
