The Richest Person in Kenya According to a New Report, Check-out His Net worth

According to recent report the top 5 richest people and families in the country control more wealth than millions of Kenyans from across the country.

The report by Oxfam International released on Monday, January 17, indicated that Sameer Naushad Merali, who is the son of the late billionaire Naushad Merali, is the richest individual in the country sitting on a fortune of Ksh89.6 billion (USD790 million).

Sameer Naushad Merali, the heir and son of the late billionaire Naushad Merali, has been listed as number one in the list. 

The Merali family owns Sameer Group which is a conglomerate of 15 Kenyan companies that range from agriculture, real estate, construction, transport, insurance, energy and power, among others. 

His dad Naushad Merali was a businessman and an industrialist Kenyan mobile service provider Kencell and French media giant Vivendi. He schooled at the Highway Secondary School in Nairobi.

During his lifetime, Naushad Merali chairs Sameer Group, a Kenyan conglomerate active in agriculture, construction, information technology, property, and finance.
