Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is one of the people to be hit most by sanctions in relation to Russia/Ukraine conflict. When the war started, Abramovich was reportedly $11 billion worth. His wealth has drastically dropped to $6 billion. The $6 billion most of it is inaccessible because of sanctions imposed by UK, EU, USA and Canada. Most of his wealth is invested in those countries.
Now it is being reported that the Russian billionaire is broke and he cannot pay his bills. The billionaire has over a hundred employees who are paid a total of around Sh 70 million every week a sum Abramovich cannot afford now. His 550 yacht alone has a crew of 70 members. He has mansions spread across the world which need staff to manage and private jets which need crew.
Although Abramovich has vehemently denied this, it is reported that he has been contacting his friends asking them for money to help him pay his staff. He has been asking his contacts to loan him $1 million each.
