How to Prevent Your Phone From Consuming Too Much Data Bundles

Some phones can be stressful when it comes to data bundles consumption. For example, in some cases whereby one bought bundles which they planned to use for a whole week or even a month then it ends up being depleted in a day or two. Someone may argue that this happens when the person is a heavy data user. However, at times we end up spending what we shouldn't have spent simply because we have not looked for ways of conserving data on our phones.First of all, you need to restrict background data on your phone. This is to ensure the apps which you are not actively using do not process data in the background hence conserving your data bundles usage.

To do this on most android phones, just go to settings and select data usage then select cellular data usage. After that, select the application you want to restrict mobile data on and put background data off to ensure the application doesn't process data while you are not using it.

Secondly, you need to moderate how frequently you use streaming apps like YouTube and Netflix on your phone since they will consume a lot of data bundles. If you have a computer, it would be better if you use it to stream instead of always using your phone.

Lastly, you can set a data limit on your phone. This will enable your phone to warn you whenever you are almost depleting the amount of data you bought before the end of your billing cycle. From that, you can know what to do to ensure you can conserve the little that is remaining.
