Safaricom's job contribution hits record one million

In its most recent effort to attract more customers to the fifth generation technological standard for broadband cellular networks, Safaricom has announced the availability of 5G Wi-Fi.

Since Safaricom was the first service provider to launch 5G trials in Kenya and the region in March of last year and consumers in 5G-ready locations may now take use of quick and dependable internet connectivity for their homes and businesses.

CEO Peter Ndegwa stated that they believe in the internet's revolutionary power and will continue to supply the most cutting-edge solutions toward enabling our clients to experience a digital lifestyle.

Safaricom now operates 35 5G sites in Nairobi, Kisumu, Kisii, Kakamega and Mombasa and by March 2023, it hopes to have 200 sites operational nationwide.

Financial organizations should be able to do more complex tasks faster because to the expanding 5G network coverage.

According to analysts, it has the ability to run at a speed that is 100 times quicker than 4G; which is now the most popular in the nation.

The availability of a 5G network also results in faster data transfer between two places, which benefits organizations like the media.

Huawei; a tech company, claims that the implementation of 5G would also enable digital transformation, spurring development of smart manufacturing, ports, mining, and healthcare.

After South Africa, Kenya was the second African nation to introduce a 5G wireless network. Compared to up to 100,000 for 4G, it can accommodate up to 1 million connected devices per square kilometer.
