Safaricom which is currently Kenya's leading communication service provider has released a press statement about its scheduled system maintenance. On the statement safaricom says that it is planning to interrupt the Mpesa services tonight from 2359 hrs to the morning of Wednesday 0400 hrs.
The company has stated that the main aim of the maintenance is to upgrade the Mpesa services so as to continue offering better services. The upgrade majorly will base on striving to meet the needs of their customers as well as meeting the ambitions of their partners. At the time of upgrade there shall be no any Mpesa transaction that will take place. The company has since asked its customers to plan well so that they may not be affected by the interruptions.
Safaricom boosts of controlling more than half of Kenya's population in the communication market. With such an activity it is right for them to do it at the time they have scheduled so that many people might not be affected.
