Safaricom PLC has announced a scheduled upgrade to its services that will result in the unavailability of some services from Saturday, August 21, 10 pm to Sunday, August 22, 8 am. In a notice, the giant telecommunications company stated that a few services including all products purchases, balance inquiry, Okoa Jahazi, Tunukiwa, all Bonga Points services, postpaid payment, and home fiber payment will remain unavailable for 10 hours.
Other services such as calls, data, M-Pesa, and SMS will remain available during that time.
The telco explained that maintenance activity was meant to cause the least possible inconvenience to their customers as it has been scheduled to take place at night.
Safaricom further apologized to its customers for any inconvenience that will result from the maintenance schedule.
The giant telco has introduced new features over time with the sole aim of improving services to millions of its subscribers.
It is evident that Safaricom is trying to make it's network the best as it is remembered in June 2021, Safaricom launched the M-Pesa app, a user-friendly mini-application that allows users to transact while on offline mode. The new Application is known as the M-PESA Super App.
