The World's quietest room where you can feel your heartbeat

Microsoft built the World's most quietest room in 2015. The room has proven that nobody can survive for more than an 1 hour.

When you are in the room, after a number of minutes, you'll start to hear your heartbeat. If you stay a little bit longer, you'll literally hear your blood moving and bones grinding.

In the room there is no sound from the outside world allowed in, the nearly absolute silence will gradually palpable itslef as an unbearable ringing in your ears.

When all that happens, you’ll likely lose your balance, because the lack of vibration in the room weakens your in-built spatial awareness.

The room is located at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington. It is known as the anechoic chamber(which means room without echo). It took two years for Microsoft to design the room.

In the outside world, our ears are always exposed to some level of noise, but in the chamber, there is no sound or pressure in the ear drum, this is because there is no echo.

“Most people find the absence of sound deafening, feel a sense of fullness in the ears, or some ringing. Very faint sounds become clearly audible because the ambient noise is exceptionally low and When you turn your head, you can hear that motion. You can also hear yourself breathing and it sounds somewhat loud.” Hundraj Gopal, principal designer of the chamber said.

The concrete chamber currently holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s quietest place. The room is open to the public and has become a tourist attraction site
