Mobile chargers are becoming more common by the day and for good reason. If there is no outlet around or you forget your adapter, these little power packs can be a big help. If you do not already have one of these technical wonders, do not worry you can actually make one yourself with an onion.

You will need:

an onion

a screwdriver

an energy drink

a charger cable

Here is how:

Using a screwdriver, poke a hole in the onion and then another one directly above it.

Fill a bowl with the energy drink and put the onion in it. The holes should be completely submerged in the liquid.

Let the onion soak for half an hour, then take it out and dry it. It should have soaked up most of the liquid.

Now you can plug the USB connection on the cable into the onion. It is best to do this with an old cable that you do not want to use for any other purpose.

The charging can begin! The "energy transfer" does not take long. In only about 10 to 15 minutes your phone will have sucked all the "juice" out of the onion. If you want to use the cable on an outlet again, be sure to clean it and let it dry to avoid any kind of shock or short circuit.Some people might find it strange, but you have to admit that it is a pretty original idea.
