4 Common Mistakes We Do While Charging Smartphones, Causing Damage To Battery

1.Plugging whatever charger fits

This especially applies to smartphones. Most smartphones use a micro USB for its chargers and for this reasons most people tend to switch and swap chargers since it fits into and works on their phones. However, this is not appropriate and in the long run it can negatively affect your phone battery.

2.Quick-charge devices aren't always a good idea

When you use a quick-charge device such as a power bank, the battery is exposed to a higher voltage. This can lead to overheating which can damage the battery and the phone.

3.Avoid placing your phone under the pillow while charging:

Many people have a habit of keeping their phones under their pillow so that it is easier to reach. Sometimes, they leave it under the pillow even when the device is getting charged, which is extremely dangerous. The phone generates heat while getting charged, and that heat needs to be dissipated in order to save the phone from any possible damage or battery degradation.

4.Charging your phone in the wrong places

You should mind where you charge your phone, because not doing so can negatively affect your battery capacity. Phones have a temperature range they can function normally and charging your phone in a hot area can raise the temperature and stress the battery out.
