Safaricom— Kenya's most profitable technology company has yet shown its willingness to provide its users the best experiences while accessing its services using their smartphones. With Kenya's smartphone base growing exponentially, Safaricom developed two applications— MySafaricom and M-Pesa app. Apart from reducing the need to use USSD codes or the sim toolkit from the phone, the development of the two apps made it possible for the customers to be able to access some of Safaricom's services.

Today, the MySafaricom app received an update in the Playstore for Android users. But this time, the update might be considered as one of its biggest updates from the company. The update brought about some new cool features to the app which initially, weren't available. So, these are the new features you will expect from today's update.

1. You can now send money to up to five people at the same time from M-Pesa using MySafaricom app. Though this feature has been available for a while in the M-Pesa app, it is interesting to see Safaricom bringing this service to the native application. To accomplish this, you have to choose the Safaricom contacts of people you need to send money to at the same time, then instruct the application to send. You should, however, note that you will incur the normal sending cost for each individual who receives the money.

2. To the NewsPaper lovers, Safaricom has not added newspapers on the discover tab on Mysafaricom. From here, you can see all the available issues, then purchase the e-paper right away.

3. You can save your frequent or favourite M-Pesa withdrawal agents so that every time you are withdrawing money, you will not have to key in their agent codes. This will save you time when withdrawing the money.

4. To home fibre users, Safaricom customers can now be able to access and manage their SecureNet packages. To 4G home internet users, they can manage the network too right from the application.

This is just but the least of the cool features you will see from today's MySafaricom update. In general comparison, Mysafaricom and M-Pesa applications are easier to use and you get the services you will need faster than even the USSD codes or Sim Toolkit.
