Who Owns You Tube Platform

YouTube is an American online video sharing platform that allows users to upload videos, view them, rate them with likes and dislikes, share them, add videos to playlists, report, make comments on videos, and subscribe to other users. You Tube also offers a wide variety of user-generated and corporate media videos. Available content includes video clips, TV show clips, music videos, short and documentary films, audio recordings, movie trailers, live streams, and other content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos which in turn the owners are paid according to the number of views and subscription they get. It's headquarter is based in San Bruno, California United States Of America.

YouTube is the second most popular website in the world with more than 1 million videos behind Google, according to Alexa Internet. Annually, You Tube earns 15 billion US dollars from the revenue collected.

Today's question is, who owns this multimillion platform that is mostly used in the world? This is a question that many may not know the answer but know how to use it to earn money from their videos they upload. Well to get the cat out of the bag, You Tube was created by three brothers, Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim in February 2005. In November 2006 Google bought the site for 1.6 billion US dollars and became the official owner of You Tube up to date.
