A private call is a hidden call that does not allow the person being called to view the caller's phone number on the screens of their phones. Normally the calls display on the screens as; unknown, private caller, or restricted.
Private callers can be people you know such as an ex-lover, a close relative, or a friend who wants to prank you.
Sometimes these calls may be from important people such as medics who do not want to share their real phone numbers to avoid patients' calls during off-duty hours.
Unfortunately, many private callers do not have good intentions. These calls are mostly used as a strategy to avoid identification and this opens room to phone scammers and robbers.
Many private callers think that making a private call will deter them from being caught and held accountable for their ill-intended calls.
Below are some simple steps on how to identify a private caller.
1. When you receive a private call, do not receive it, let it be a missed call.
2. Dial *#30# and the number will appear on your screen.
3. If you have a true caller app, type the number and find out the real names and the location of the person
